Pub Burger

Yum
The burger quest continues.  Last week I shared

The Nacho Burger
The Nacho Burger has taco seasoned ground meat patties and then it is topped with Colby Jack cheese, salsa, guacamole and tortilla chips.  A fiesta totally going on!

This week, I introduce to you

The Pub Burger

The Pub Burger?  A simple sea salt and pepper seasoned burger topped with your lettuce and tomato.  But then there are caramelized Vidalya onions and a sauce that is so smoky good!  Unbelievable!

Grab a beer and fire up the grill because the pub is coming to your house!

Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground meat
sea salt
pepper
1 Vidalya onion
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp unsalted butter
2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup mayo
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
dash of liquid smoke
mini kaiser buns, lettuce and tomato
Directions:
Shape ground meat in patties.  Sprinkle of sea salt and pepper.  Heat up grill.  While grill is heating, make the Vidalya onions.  Slice the onion into rings.  In a large saucepan, heat unsalted butter and olive oil.  When hot, add the sliced onions and balsamic vinegar.  Heat on high for 2 minutes.  Add 1/2 tsp salt and turn heat to low.  Cook down for 7-8 minutes.  When coals are ready, add the hamburger patties.  Grill until desired doneness.  For sauce, mix together mayo, barbecue sauce and liquid smoke.  Assemble burgers using mini kaiser buns, seasoned/cooked burger, lettuce, tomato, onions and sauce.

Ok, we got two options thus far...
