Carrot Cake Scones

Yum
These Carrot Cake Scones are just about the easiest scone recipe out there!

Start with a carrot cake mix and embellish with some frosting and bam!
Carrot Cake Scones!

After hunting for the eggs the Easter Bunny has hidden, your family is going to need some nourishment.  Carrot Cake Scones are moist and delicious!  Decorated to look like a carrot, they are even cute too!

Some bunny's going to love it!

Ingredients:
1 cup of carrot cake mix from a box
1 cup flour
1/2 cup milk
4 Tbsp butter
1 can cream cheese frosting
orange food coloring (3 red, 2 yellow drops)
green food coloring
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  In a large bowl, mix carrot cake mix, flour, milk and melted butter just until combined.
Shape dough into a ball.  Use a little extra flour if needed.  Place ball shaped dough onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. Cut the dough into 8 pie shaped pieces.  Separate on cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.  Cool on a wire rack.  Divide prepared cream cheese frosting in half.  Add orange food coloring to half of the frosting and green food coloring to the other half.  Stir each color separately until desired color is achieved.  Use a piping bag to create a zigzag pattern on the "carrot" part and green lines at the top to create the top of the carrot.

The aroma while baking is divine!
And they taste just as good as they smell!
