Loaded Pizzelle S'mores

Yum
Welcome back!
I hope everyone had a fabulous 4th with lots of fireworks and fun, foodie recipes!
Ours was spent pretty low key...catching up on yard work because (we finally have a streak of dry days), playing bags with the family and watching fireworks.  Of course we had a great meal.  One of which I will post soon!  Since 4th of July was on a Saturday, there may be a little more celebrating still going on today.  How about celebrating with a loaded s'more from your oven.

You know anything loaded must be good, right?  And these are fancier s'mores!
I used Pizzelles which are Italian waffles and can be found right in your grocery store.  They are thin and crispy and ohhhh sooo good!

A melted piece of chocolate and a softened marshmallow!
You think that would be enough...nope!

Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a dusting of powdered sugar and a strawberry on top...
L-O-A-D-E-D!
Pretty simple yet so much more.  A s'more that needs a knife and fork.  Oh yes, this is serious s'more business!

Ingredients:
1 package of  pizzelle waffle cookies
large marshmallows
4 bars of  Hershey's chocolate
vanilla ice cream
strawberries
powdered sugar for dusting
Directions:
Preheat oven to 250 degrees.  Place 8 pizzelle waffle cookie face down.  Add half a bar of chocolate to each pizzelle cookie.  Add 1 large marshmallow.  Place in the oven for 2-3 minutes, just until chocolate begins to melt and marshmallow is soft.  Top with another pizzelle waffle cookie, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a strawberry and a dusting of powdered sugar.

I just want to sink my teeth into this Loaded Pizzelle S'more right now!
(I might not even use a fork and knife, going to just dig right in.)

Celebrate the little things that make life sweet,
Christine
