My daughter attends a university about 3 hours away. An easy drive to go for the day and return home at night. Whenever we go, we have our favorite hot spot for lunch. A trip there isn't complete without a visit to this pizza place. It's totally a college hangout, but if you are in there anytime before 10 pm, you won't totally stand out. Ha! Ha!
Anyhow, this pizza joint has so much more than plain cheese pizza. Each time I go, I like to check out a different combo and then experiment with it at home. A good one is the mac n cheese pizza. So that's the first one I have tried to make at home and boy is it good!
Made with just 5 ingredients!
What a fun weekday meal and great way to shake up that mac n cheese!
Mac n Cheese, who'da thunk it?
Made with your favorite mac n cheese...
1 loaf frozen bread dough, defrosted
1 box of mac n cheese made to box directions
1/4 cup milk (this is extra than what the box requires)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 Tbsp unsalted butter (this is extra than what the box requires)
Defrost frozen bread dough. Once defrosted, preheat oven to 400 degrees. Stretch bread dough to desired shape for the pizza crust. Spray a cookie sheet with non stick spray. Place pizza crust on prepared cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Remove from oven, butter entire crust and return to oven for an additional 5 minutes. Meanwhile make the macaroni and cheese according to package directions. Once prepared, add the 1/4 cup milk and 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. Stir to combine, then top the pizza crust with the macaroni and cheese. Bake an additional 15 minutes.
Slice and serve.
Such a fun way to have pizza and macaroni and cheese!
