So...how experimental are you on the grill?
Do you ever do more than hamburgers, hot dogs, brats or chicken?
Well, I got experimental and immediately my family rolled their eyes and turned up their noses...
Grilled Peaches? They had no idea!!!
Maybe you have done this before, but it was new to me and the result?
Let's just say the eye rolling stopped. The turned up noses went back to their normal postions. And the tongues? They were a wagging and a drooling...so good just doesn't say enough!
These are crazy easy to make.
All you need to do is gather some peaches, cinnamon and butter pecan ice cream. Slice each peach in half and remove the pit. Sprinkle each cut side with cinnamon. Place on a medium hot grill, face down for about 5 minutes. The cut side will start to carmelize and smell delightful. Carefully flip each peach half over so that the skin side is now over the medium hot flames. Grill for an additional 3-5 minutes. Remove and plate each half. Add a scoop of butter pecan ice cream. Serve.
After you have grilled your dinner, go ahead and use what is left of the fire for grilling the peaches.
Can you believe how easy? The flavor is like a peach pie with no crust, so pretty healthy. And the presentation? Looks pretty dang good, don't you think?
Dessert on the grill...a perfect summertime treat!
What interesting recipe have you cooked on the grill? I'd love to hear from you.
Celebrate the little things that make life sweet,
Christine
