Italian Burger Bites

Yum
Time again for a hamburger recipe!
Another burger slider full of flavor, Italian style.

Italian Burger Bites are topped with a garlicky mayo and a bruschetta.  No ordinary bun.  Nope, Italian Burgers are sandwiched between slices of a French or Italian bread loaf.  Bite sized, so just right for a fun appetizer!

Ingredients to make 8 slider sized burger bites:
1 loaf of French or Italian bread, sliced
3 Roma tomatoes, chopped
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
1/2 Tbsp olive oil
2 tsp minced garlic, divided
1 tsp basil
1/4 cup mayo
1 1/4 lbs ground beef
salt and pepper to taste
lettuce
Directions:
Make burger patties with ground beef.  Season with salt and pepper to taste.  Start your grill and when coals reach a medium high  heat, add your hamburgers.  Cook until desired doneness.  While burgers are cooking, make your bruschetta.  In a bowl, combine, chopped Roma tomatoes, salt, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, 1 tsp minced garlic and basil.
Set aside.  In another small bowl, mix together mayo and 1 tsp minced garlic.  After burgers have completed their cooking time, place slices of bread on grill to toast.  Cut all the burgers in half and then assemble.  On one bun, place 1/2 of a hamburger patty, topped with garlicky mayo, bruschetta and pieces of lettuce.  Top with final bun and serve.

Fun bite sized burgers!
