Summertime in Florida was all about the water; staying cool in the pool or the ocean. I grew up with a pool in the backyard and spent WHOLE summer days in the pool, wrinkly fingers and green hair! (In my younger days, I had much lighter hair and it would turn green from all the chlorine...a total fashion statement!)
Living in the midwest, we don't have our own pool, but we have a cool watering hole that was once a quarry. The kiddos and I would head down and spend the afternoon there. Picnic lunches and snacks were always part of the experience. So today, I thought I would share some fun snack ideas to make and take with you when you head to your watering hole.
