A Valentine Breakfast for Your True Loves

Yum

Doesn't that look good?  Heart shaped French toast with Nutella and home-made Strawberry Syrup.  Let me give you a second to stop salivating :)
This is a breakfast totally for your true loves!!!!

All you need to do is punch heart shapes out of your bread with a heart shaped cookie cutter.  Then cook those heart shaped slices like you normally do to make French Toast.  It's the assembly that makes things extra, extra special.  To assemble, put one cooked heart shaped French Toast slice on the plate and generously spread on some Nutella.  Top with another cooked heart slice and more Nutella.  Finally, place a final slice on top.  Drizzle on the home-made Strawberry Syrup and you will swear your family's circular pupils will turn heart shaped!

Here's how you make the strawberry syrup.

Ingredients:
2 cups strawberries, washed and diced
½ cup sugar
1 cup + 2 Tbsp water, divided
1 Tbsp cornstarch

Combine 2 Tablespoons water and cornstarch in a small dish and set aside.  In a medium saucepan, bring water, sugar and diced strawberries to a boil. Stir occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes. Add water/cornstarch mixture.  Blend well. Turn off heat and allow some cooling before serving.

Thanks so much to Super Glue Mom for this delicious strawberry syrup recipe!

Love is in the air...even at breakfast time!  French Toast, Nutella and strawberry syrup...ahhh....YES!

Sit down and have a special breakfast with those you love!

Celebrate the little things that make life sweet!
