My Newest Addiction!

Yum
I have found my newest fall addiction!
It involves two distinctive fall flavors!
What's that?  What are they?
Well, thanks for asking...
the flavors I am addicted to are apples and caramel!!!!

I have found THE recipe that satisfies my current addiction and yes, I could eat the whole thing.  And I am betting you could too!

Caramel Apple Puppy Chow

I have seen this a lot on Pinterest and thought I would give it a try.  I am soooo glad I did!

Here's what you need:

10 oz white chocolate chips
5 cups rice chex cereal
1 package Caramel Frosting Creations flavor mix
1 1/2 cups dry apple muffin mix

I know, it seems strange to add a package of apple cinnamon muffin mix, but it just works...trust me.  I also hadn't heard of the frosting creation flavor mixes.  You can find those packets in the cake aisle, next to the canned frosting.  Just look for the caramel variety.

So here's what you do:

1. Pour rice chex cereal into a large bowl.
2. Slowly melt the white chocolate in the microwave, stopping every 30 seconds or so to stir it.
3. Add package of caramel frosting creations to melted white chocolate and stir until combined.
4. Add melted white chocolate mixture to chex cereal and lightly stir to coat evenly.
5. Add the dry muffin mix to the chex cereal and lightly stir to coat evenly.
6. Allow chex to dry.

All the flavors of fall in a yummy snack mix!  You may want to double the recipe because it will not last long!  It would be great to bring to a party, bunco or just having around the house to satisfy your addiction!

This puppy chow recipe is an awesome one to have for fall!

Celebrate the little things that make life sweet!
