I told you I got a lot of strawberries! Sometimes I can't use them fast enough, so I freeze them for later use.
I have found that once the strawberries are frozen, the best way to use them is in
a cool and refreshing Smoothie.
All you need is your blender and some frozen fruit.
Ladies and Gentlemen, start your blenders....
Ingredients to make 4 6 oz glasses:
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup frozen raspberries
1 cup vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup orange juice
2 bananas
Pour all into a blender and blend until smooth.
The smoothie is so creamy and the strawberries and raspberries give the smoothie such a pretty color.
Such an easy recipe to make with the kiddos. They will love pushing the blender buttons! Just make sure the top is on :). It's always a great way to get kids to eat healthy when they are part of the process. School is out, so have them join you back in the kitchen.
Celebrate the little things that make life sweet,
Christine
