Honey Drizzled Apple Puffs

Yum
All this fall like weather has put me in the mood for fall baking.
I spent the weekend baking up a storm with apples!  So be on the look out for lots of apple inspired recipes.  But for today, I thought I would give you just a taste of what is to come.
Check out these Honey Drizzled Apple Puffs!

Fall is my favorite season of the year!
Not only do I like wearing yoga pants (a fall season must), but I love to bake.  Fall is perfect for creating and baking.  And, if I have a recipe that requires less than 10 ingredients?  Well that's a no brainer...love it!

Each apple puff is light and airy with the sweetness of apples and honey.

Remember yesterday when I said you should always keep puff pastry in your freezer?  Keep puff pastry in your freezer!
Here's another reason why...Honey Drizzled Apple Puffs!
Each is sweet with apple flavor and honey drizzle.

Ingredients to make 1 dozen:
1 sheet of puff pastry, defrosted
1 baking apple, peeled and sliced thinly
1-2 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon
1-2 Tbsp unsalted butter, cut into little pieces
honey for drizzling
powdered sugar for dusting
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Roll out puff pastry sheet.  Use a circle cookie cutter or a glass to punch out 12 puff pastry circles.  Place each puff pastry circle on a parchment lined baking sheet.  Place peeled, thinly sliced apples onto each circle.  Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.  Place small pieces of butter on top.  Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.  Remove from oven and drizzle with honey while warm.  Cool and then dust with powdered sugar.

Come on...admit it...you are looking forward to all the goodies that come with fall!
Start with these super easy, 7 ingredient Honey Drizzled Apple Puffs and get some puff pastry into your freezer!

Celebrate the little things that make life sweet,
Christine
