Toasted Aloha Banana Bread Supreme

Yum
So yesterday I shared my favorite banana bread recipe, my mom's.
Today, I want to share a way to take this simple banana bread recipe to a dimension beyond!!!
It's truly SUPREME!
Toasted Aloha Banana Bread Supreme

Start with the Banana Bread recipe I used yesterday.  Just click on the link to find it.

Now it is time to make it aloha supreme!  Look at this!

Oh my!  Toasted Aloha Banana Bread Supreme with caramel and coconut sauce...to die for!
Your banana bread has gone from breakfast or mid-day snack to decadent dessert in a matter of minutes!
Here's what you need to do...first make the coconut sauce which is also known as Haupia Sauce from Hawaii.

Ingredients for Coconut Sauce aka Haupia Sauce:
1 cup canned coconut milk
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp cornstarch

In a pot over high heat, combine all the ingredients.  Stir until boiling.  Remove from heat and let cool.  Refrigerate or use immediately.

Ingredients for Toasted Banana Bread Supreme:
Banana Bread (use my recipe or your own)
Caramel Sauce
Coconut Sauce

Toast slices of banana bread in a panini press or George Foreman Grill.  Remove when grill marks appear.  Ladle on some caramel sauce and coconut sauce.  Serve.

That couldn't be any simpler.  Who knew banana bread could be taken to such a level?  The toasted banana bread soaks in the caramel and coconut sauces.  Each bite is purely a taste of Hawaiian heaven!

Pack your bags because you are taking your family's tastebuds to Hawaii!

Celebrate the little things that make life aloha sweet!
