Sugared Cranberries

Need something to pop in your mouth?
How about something to give as a gift?
Looking for a way to dress up a dessert?
Then you need Sugared Cranberries!

Sugared Cranberries are the perfect holiday snack.
Not only do they look gorgeous, but there is a delightful contrast between the sugary outside and the tart inside.  Wait until you see just how easy they are to make!

Ingredients from myrecipes.com:
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups water
2 cups fresh cranberries
3/4 cup granulated sugar for rolling the cranberries
Directions:
In a saucepan over low heat, combine 2 cups of granulated sugar and water.  Stir until sugar dissolves.  Bring to a simmer and then remove from heat.  (Do not boil because you do not want the cranberries to pop.)  Stir in cranberries.  Pour all into a bowl and refrigerate overnight.
Drain the cranberries.  Place the 3/4 cup granulated sugar in a shallow dish.  Add the drained cranberries and roll in the sugar to coat.  Spread the cranberies in a single layer on a baking sheet.  Let stand until dry (approximated 1-2 hours).

You better head to the grocery store and stock up on cranberries because you are going to want to have Sugared Cranberries at all your gatherings and you are going to want to give them as gifts.

Easy and pretty!
Celebrate the little things that make life sweet,
Christine
