Cinnamon Apple Walnut Granola

You know what?  You need to bake this granola...just let the aroma fill your house.

Cinnamon Apple Walnut Granola can be stored in an airtight container and used for breakfast with some yogurt or even as an afternoon snack.  Talk about fall flavor!  It's all right there in each and every spoonful.

Made with oats, multi-grain Cheerios, dried apples, cinnamon, walnuts and apple cider.
The aroma is uh...maaaa...zing and so is the taste!

Eaten with yogurt and they turn into little parfaits.  Almost like eating a dessert for breakfast!  Who doesn't like that?

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups oats (I used quick oats)
1 cup multi-grain Cheerios
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup apple cider
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup honey
1 cup freeze dried apples, chopped
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.  In large roasting pan, toss oats, Cheerios, chopped/dried apples and walnuts.  In a small bowl, coming brown sugar, apple cider, vegetable oil and honey. Stir well.  Pour liquid over the oat mixture.  Toss and sprinkle with cinnamon.  Toss again.  Bake at 300 degrees for a total of 45 minutes.  Stir every 15 minutes.  Remove from oven and cool before storing in an airtight container.

Your kiddos will LEAP out of bed to have Cinnamon Apple Walnut Granola for breakfast!
A happy full bellied kiddo is the best way to head off to school.
Guess what?  A happy full bellied adult will have a fabulous day at work.  I see a pattern!
Better make some quick!

Celebrate the little things that make life sweet,
Christine
