Cheesy Garlic Bread

I have a confession.  If I could, I would live on bread.  Bread in all shapes and flavors, it doesn't matter, I want a slice.  I think Cheesy Garlic Bread with a glass of wine would be enough.  But, even the Bible says man can't live on bread alone.  Ha!  Just imagine how much better your meal would be with a slice of Cheesy Garlic Bread.  Now your meal is more than enough.

Each slice is buttery and garlicky with melted cheese.  Served warm right out of the oven!

Ingredients:
1 loaf French bread
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp fresh ground pepper
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp basil
1 cup mozzarella, shredded
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
Slice loaf of bread in half the long way.  Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  In a bowl, mix together softened butter, garlic salt, ground pepper, oregano and basil.  Smear butter mixture on the inside of both halves of bread.  Top each with shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.  Place in a 375 degree oven for 7-8 minutes or until cheese melts and is bubbly.  Slice and serve immediately.

Soup, steak, chicken, you name it.  Any meal would be even better with a loaf of Cheesy Garlic Bread!

Celebrate the little things that make life sweet,
Christine
