Easy Hummus

Hummus is one of those snacks that I don't feel guilty about eating.  It's quick and delicious and can be served with a variety of dippers from veggies to pitas to pretzels.  It's a great afternoon snack or evening appetizer.  It tastes fabulous!  You'll never want store bought again!

Ingredients:
1 15oz can chickpeas
1/4 cup tahini
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp minced garlic
olive oil
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Drain chickpeas.  In a mini food processor, add drained chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic and salt/pepper.  Pulse until blended well.  Drizzle in olive oil.  Start with 1-2 Tbsp.  Pulse and check consistency.  If you want your hummus smoother, add more olive oil.  Continue to pulse after each addition of olive oil until desired texture is reached.
Serve with cut up veggies, pretzels and/or pita slices.

Football snack, after school snack, appetizer, lunch...you name it, hummus is a fabulous addition!

Celebrate the little things that make life sweet,
