Buffalo Fries

Growing up, I lived a block or so away from the high school athletic field.  On Friday nights, I remember hearing the announcer comment on the plays, the bright lights and the exciting cheers from the crowd.  I couldn't wait to be a part of being in the stands!
My dad is a huge football fan and Sundays were filled with all of us watching the Miami Dolphins.  Due to all that football exposure, I have very fond memories of football season and, to this day, love to watch the game.  Now, it's football weekend with Friday night at the high school game, Saturday watching college football and Sunday with Da Bears.  But one of the best parts of watching the game is all the snacks whether you are eating them at home in front of the tv or outside tailgating before the game.  In either case, snacks and football kind of go hand in hand.  With that in mind, let me introduce you to...

BUFFALO FRIES!!!

Whoa!  These are good!  All the flavors of buffalo wings on top of your fries.  Yep, this is "fry" real.
Don't worry, you have time before kick off!

adapted from Tidy Mom
Ingredients:
10 medium sized baking potatoes
1/4 cup olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 cup buffalo wing sauce
2 Tbsp butter
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup blue cheese pieces (not blue cheese dressing)
chopped green onions

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Slice potatoes into wedges.  Place potato wedges into a large roasting pan.  Toss with olive oil and salt/pepper.  Bake for 40-45 minutes or until fork tender.

Heat buffalo wing sauce and butter over med. high heat.  Once butter is melted, stir and set aside until potatoes are ready.

Remove potatoes from oven and pour wing sauce over top.  Toss.  Add shredded cheddar and blue cheese.  Bake for an additional 3-4 minutes or until cheese melts.  Remove from oven, sprinkle on chopped green onions and serve.

I added some Ranch Dressing on top to make these fries even more sinful!

The fries have been coated in Buffalo Wing flavoring and then topped with blue cheese and cheddar cheese...seriously delish!

What will you be serving during the next game?
Hopefully it will be some Buffalo Fries!
GO...._______________(fill in your team's name).
See, I can be impartial...as long as your favorite team isn't playing mine.  :)

Celebrate the little things that make life sweet,
