"Red, White and Blue" Berry S'mores

Yum

"Red, White and Blue" Berry S'mores
Have you seen this floating around in cyber world?
I just love it because it is so fresh, flavorful, combines lots of summer fruits and it looks fabulous!
Seasonal Simplicity!
originally from Family Fresh Cooking
Ingredients:
blueberries
raspberries
strawberries
blackberries
large marshmallows
sugar

Combine all the berries into individual serving sized bowls.  Add 1 Tbsp of sugar per serving and mix with the fruit.  Set aside.  Toast the marshmallows over a fire to your desired doneness.  Add to your berry mixture.  The marshmallows are the white part of that red and blue combo. :)

You can add a scoop of ice cream too if you would like it more decadent.  The berries meld together and offer such a fresh, sweet flavor!  And the marshmallows?  I like mine kind of on the burnt side, but you can toast them for as long or as little as you want.

What a great idea for a 4th of July party!  You can have the fruit all prepared and then your guests toast marshmallows to add to their own fruit cup.  Grab some roasting sticks!

Celebrate the little things that make life sweet,
