When I came across this recipe, I just knew I had to comment. As a native New Orleanian (as my mother calls it...I was born on the little bitty snippet of the west bank of the Mississippi River that is in Orleans parish called Algiers...still technically part of New Orleans), I've eaten Aunt Sally's and other New Orleans pralines. I've also made pralines by this recipe that you posted (It's my go-to, in fact). And the pralines made with this recipe are far superior to any New Orleanian pralines I have ever eaten. Hands down. (Sadly, I have to say, y'all didn't miss much by rushing by the praline stores...except for the chocolate ones that I'm searching for a recipe for.)Susan L. @ Full Happy Muffin and Mamahttp://fullhappybabyandmommy.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.com
